Introducing your emcee:
Community Host / Weekend Weather Anchor, CTV Vancouver
Krissy Vann is the Community Host for CTV Morning Live and weekend weather anchor for CTV News Vancouver.
From a young age, Krissy knew that she wanted a career in television broadcasting. She is a graduate of the Niagara College Broadcasting – Radio, Television and Film program. During her studies she interned at Canterbury Television in New Zealand. After being bitten by the travel bug she went on to work around the world on cruise ships as a port and shopping guide.
This role meant she had her own shopping channel onboard and did live talks with over 1,000 guests per cruise. After checking off 30 countries from her travel map she decided to start her life on land.
She worked at The Weather Network in Ontario and British Columbia as a national television presenter and video journalist. In partnership with The Weather Network, she has appeared as a weather presenter and field reporter for CBC News Network.
Krissy joined the team at CTV Vancouver in 2018.
In her free time she can be found going on adventures throughout British Columbia and beyond. She lives a very active lifestyle and has dedicated herself to her fitness regimen. She is a member of the Canadian Physique Alliance and placed first in her division at the Iron Ore Classic in Prince George in 2017. She is looking forward to competing again this year.
Through St. John Ambulance she and her bulldog mix, Stella, became a certified therapy dog team in 2018. Krissy likes to volunteer her time and connect with the community. She is thrilled to be working with Diabetes Canada to host Midsummer’s Eve this coming June!
